We are pleased to announce that Ole Magnus Theisen will be speaking at this year’s NorSec.
Ole Magnus Theisen is Associate Professor in Political Science at the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU). His research interests cover political, environmental, and institutional dimensions of collective violence. Theisens current focus is on the role of institutions in resolving disputes and containing violence as well as investigating the suggested intermediate linkages between climate anomalies and violence, such as the individual support for violence subject to resource shocks and mobility patterns after resource shocks. He also researches the political consequences of climate mitigation. Theisen has been involved in projects funded by both the European Commission and the Research Council of Norway.
